Arne Næss was born in 27 January 1912 and died 12 January 2009. He was a Norwegian philosopher, he liked to ski and he was the man who found deep ecology, and used this ecology to examine the deep relationships between our own lives and the nature we are a part of. Arne Næss was probably not alone to combine the deep ecology with the above and he worked together with other philosopher. When I was young I met Arnes Næss once when I was together with my family in the forest
Wildlife
First of all I think wildlife is the most important part of our common heritage. Wildlife is about the human being who are destroying animal and plants to give us very much of what we need to survive every day on the earth: almost our food, much of our clothing, and in many parts of the world, building materials for our homes. One threat to wildlife is too much hunting and because of this will many animal just disappear. This is happening in many countries. If we are not stopping to hunting on animals will we mabye almost not save the rainforest. The pollution from chemical industry, farming the people, form air soil and water are threat to the wildlife.
Arne Ness’ deep ecology
Deep ecology is composed by ecology and philosophy that means natural wisdom. Deep ecology is based on techniques from other philosophers and is the root of many environmental movements in Norway. Arne Næss’ and George Session made The Deep Ecology Platform together. The deep ecology are saying that everything that is lives have the same whole. All the creatures have the same rights too unfold. People are a part of the life in the nature, neither more nor less. Deep ecology is also concerned about the part of the nature as we usually do not think of as living beings. Like a mountain, a waterfall or a tree has much right to be in the world that we have. The people have no reason to feel superior. It has been common to think that the nature is something we can rule over and exploit just as we want. Because of this, we have destroyed many arts on the earth and we have been threatened by pollution that destroys our climate.
My conclusion is that people have to change their way of living and listen to Arne Ness’ thoughts of deep ecology. He says many important things and the world will be changed if we don’t think of our environment.
